Endings

There is magic within the realm of fiction. We watch TV series that run over years, we follow book series with new plots and twists and somewhere along the lines, we become attached to these fictatious characters and their lives. Often, we grow up with their stories and they become a part of our lives. We may dedicate entire weekends to watching or reading new installments and it becomes tradition.

Then one day, the series ends and we knew all too well this would happen but not until the last installment, that last bit was played did we realize it really is over. In that moment, one begins to wonder 'Now what?'

You dedicate moments of your life to something and it becomes a part of your routine, a part of your life without which life itself seems empty and when that part ends, you have to wonder what you are going to do next.

You may know the story was meant to end, you may know that asking for a sequel would not do it any justice that it was better to let things end the way they did but you still wonder if anything else can ever take its place, if anything else will ever be good enough again.

Life is all about change and when one thing ends it just means another is beginning. There are going to be days where you wonder 'Now what?' but the beauty of life is that there is not only one book or only one TV series out there. No, no there is a whole world of possibilities and you will find something else, something new and maybe even something better.

When we begin our College days, we dont think about the end just like when we start a new series, we are adament on enjoying the ride rather than thinking about it ending. Though, all things must come to an end. This year, in a matter of weeks or lets say months; A levels and How I met your mother are both ending. These are the things I was attached to, I found solace in and I have to say goodbye and I know I cant stick around with either one but it just seems like hardest thing to let go.

There comes a time when all we can do is enjoy the memories and find new possibilities.
