Forever turned in to never

Long gone are the days of sunshine,
Long gone are the people I used to call mine,
Its a lonely world gone cold,
I can find no one to hold,
I no longer remember the way I used to smile and dance,
Its as if I'm lost in a trance,
I want to cry,
I want my fears to die,
I want to be free,
I want to feel like me,
But I don't remember who I used to be,
Darkness is all I see,
No longer does laughter bounce off these walls,
No longer does my phone receive your calls,
We were never meant to hold each others hand
That's the thought I can't stand.
