A single rose

If you were given a bouquet filled with an assortment of several, beautiful, gleaming, red roses and then given one, single red rose; Which would you prefer?

Which of the two gifts would you want to press into the confines of your favorite book to keep and cherish for all of your eternity?

Personally, if you give me a bouquet I would be filled with the utmost gratitude but if you give me a single red rose, a smile would spread across my face from ear to ear.

When you walk with a dozen roses, it seems so formal but when you walk down the street with one single rose, there is a level of unmatched intimacy.

In life, are we all not just roses?

We blossom, we wither.
We glisten, we fade.

What would you rather have as your eternity, an assortment of people or one single individual to hold, to keep and to love?

A bouquet may be more beautiful but is it really more special?
