In Between The Raindrops - Prologue - Fall

The Fall before it all went wrong

"YOU! YOU ARE THE REASON SHE IS THIS WAY!" Anaya awoke to her mother, Saima screaming in her room.

"What's going on?" Anaya mumbled, half asleep.

"Anaya..." Sohaib, her father began.

"NO! YOU HAVE DONE ENOUGH! ITS MY TURN NOW!" Saima bellowed, throwing Anayas laptop on the floor.

"What are you doing?" Gasped Anaya, jolting up.

"YOU ARE A DISGRACE!" Saima screamed yet again but this time rushing over to Anayas bed side and grabbing Anayas hair in her fist. "I SAW THAT PICTURE OF YOU WITH THAT BOY ON YOUR LAPTOP!"

"SAIMA STOP!" Sohaib screamed trying to pull  Saima away.

"He's just a friend mom.." Anaya cried.

"ANAYA! WE will discuss this later please go get ready for school!" Sohaib ordered.

"YES. NEVER PUNISH HER! LET HER DO WHATEVER THE HELL SHE WANTS!" Saima snarled, exiting the room.

"Its not going to rain, no matter how long you stare at the sky." Ali laughed as he sat down next to Anaya on the bench near their University field.

"I know." Anaya chocked before the tears escaped.

"Hey, what's wrong? What happened?" Ali questioned with worry ringing in his tone.

"Its nothing." She sniffed.

"Mom?" Ali sighed.

"Yes..."

"What happened this time?"

"She saw my desktop wallpaper of me and Aaiz."

"Wow." Ali snorted, leaning back on the bench and distancing himself from her.

"Don't start." Anaya warned.

"Why the hell not?" Ali asked now angry. "Is he really worth all this?"

"YES!" Anaya screamed. "He's worth everything. He's the best thing that's ever happened to me."

"Oh yeah? So where is he now?" Ali questioned with puffed cheeks.

"Behind you. Ready to kick your ass." Aaiz sneered as he came up to stand in front of Ali.

"Aaiz" Anaya began.

"Shut up!" Aaiz snarled.

"Only cowards attack from the behind." Ali laughed.

"Stop!" Anaya screamed getting in between them. "Let's go." She grabbed Aaizs hand and walked away leaving Ali.

"What is wrong with you?" Anaya screamed when she and Aaiz were finally alone.

"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?" Aaiz retorted, his eyes filled with anger.

"YOU can spend all night talking to your best friend and ignoring me but I can't talk to MY best friend?" Anaya yelled. "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?"

"I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT, ANAYA. YOU CANT. YOU NEED TO ASK ME BEFORE TALKING TO GUYS!"

"Are you crazy?" Anaya snorted unable to comprehend his words.

"No but you are if you think you can go ahead and talk to who ever the hell you want and then still have me."

"What are you trying to say?"

"I want you to end your friendship with ever guy friend of yours, ESPECIALLY Ali."

"Wow." Anaya laughed, turning away from him. "You have lost your mind."

"Its either Ali or me." Aaiz warned. "You have five minutes to decide."

"Aaiz. You're kidding right?"

"No. Four minutes. DECIDE."

"WHAT THE HELL?" Anaya cried.

"Answer or I'll walk away."

"Aaiz. I love you but he's my best friend!"

"I don't care. You have two minutes choose!"

"No!" Anaya sobbed.

"We are over, Anaya. Goodbye" Aaiz grinned, turning around to walk away.

Anaya watched him leave as the tears poured out of her and without having much control over herself she called after him. "AAIZ, WAIT! I choose you. I choose...you."

"Good." Aaiz smiled. "Now go end your friendship with Ali."
