I hope you're okay

You told me about your accident last night,
And a chill went down my spine as I was filled with fright,
In all of the years I have known you,
It was the first time I didn't know what to say or do,
I kept asking questions that didn't matter,
Pretending as if I hadn't imagined you as another blood splatter,
You told me you were okay,
But I still didn't know what to say,
You told me about another friend,
Who wasn't so lucky in the end,
I've been up praying for him all night,
And God I hope he wins this fight,
I pray that he will awake,
And remembering the crash will not cause your hearts to ache.
